SRPD has actively participated in the 16 Days of Activism campaign, spanning from November 25 to December 10. The campaign aims to raise awareness and advocate for an end to violence against women and girls. Our activities were included in-person activities at the drop-in center and virtual activities on social media, targeting staff and Persons of Concern from the refugee and asylum seeker communities, in addition to the local community. These activities were tailored to address this year’s campaign theme: “What is your role to protect women and provide for her needs?” – We focused on delivering the designated awareness messages through awareness sessions, individual and group counseling, an open day activity, brochures distribution, banners display and social media posts, reinforcing the importance of ending violence against women, promoting women’s empowerment, resilience, and recognizing their vital role as partners in development.
