As temperatures drop across Yemen, many refugees and asylum seekers struggle to cope with harsh winter conditions. In response, SRPD, in partnership with UNHCR, distributed 1,100 winter blankets to vulnerable households, prioritizing those at high protection risk, including the elderly, large families, single homeless persons, and those with disabilities.
The drop-in center served as the main distribution point, while mobile teams ensured access for individuals with mobility challenges, such as the elderly and disabled. SRPD implemented crowd-control measures and strengthened communication efforts to ensure an organized and transparent process.
This distribution reinforced SRPD’s role as a trusted humanitarian partner, fostering confidence among beneficiaries. SRPD remains committed to supporting those in need and calls for continued collaboration to expand winter assistance efforts in the future.
