As part of SRPD’s continuous efforts to enhance communication and expand its partnerships, the organization had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the United Nations office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs (OCHA) in Yemen, led by the deputy director, Mrs. Maria Rosariza, today, Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
The purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand insight into the activities and projects implemented by the SRPD and to explore ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership in the humanitarian work.
SRPD staff and management warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, providing them with an overview of the organization’s developmental projects and services, which have contributed to improving the living conditions of thousands of beneficiaries.
The visit included a tour of the activities and services provided at the drop-in center for refugees and asylum seekers run by the organization, as well as a visit to the training hall for the project aimed at improving sustainable livelihoods for persons with disabilities and their families. The delegation observed training activities, spoke directly with the trainees, and learned about the services provided to them and the organization’s efforts to integrate and economically empower them to become fully active members of society.
